Today I made a Pirate Ship Cake for a special little four year old.
It is chocolate and pink madeira sponge inside, covered with chocolate buttercream and lots of other chocolate and sweeties.
I used Maltesers for cannonballs, Rolos for barrels and strawberry laces for rope. There is a mini Jammy Dodger steering wheel (I also used these for portholes) and chocolate pretzels all round it as railings.
The birthday girl had a “vision” of what she wanted on her cake. She wanted a number “4” at the top of the mast and Captain Hook.
